Marani Sp. z o.o. has received a grant from the European Union for the project \"Technology for the production of ORC systems using waste heat from technological processes\".<\/p>

The implementation of the project will result in an increase in the innovativeness of the company, which will be a consequence of the implementation of the new technology and will enable the production of new products, previously unavailable on the market. In addition, the implementation of the innovative technology will have an impact on building the company's competitive advantage and improving its situation on the market.<\/p>

The material and financial schedule of the project includes fixed assets such as: construction of a production hall, shot-blasting chamber, painting chamber, overhead cranes, process line equipment, electric pallet truck, pallet trucks, forklift, computer equipment, software, testing stand, additional equipment of the production line, which are necessary to create an appropriate technological line to start the production of innovative products.<\/p>

The audience for the product can be divided into two groups. The first is made up of electricity and heat producers using the conventional method, where waste heat is present in the electricity generation process and which, when exported to an ORC micro-grid, can increase the electrical efficiency of the entire system. The second group is made up of industrial enterprises with waste energy.<\/p>

Ultimately, the company's customers in Poland and abroad will be able to benefit from the state-of-the-art ORC micro-generation plants of up to 150 kW that will be launched.<\/p>

The project will result in the introduction of a new product into the business: ORC systems (micro power plants) with a capacity of up to 150 kW using low- and medium-temperature waste heat from technological processes to generate electricity.<\/p>

Marani Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project co-financed under the European Funds for Silesia 2021-2027 programme entitled: \"<\/b>Application of innovative digital technology in the supply of industrial gases<\/i><\/b>\".<\/b><\/p>

The aim of the project<\/b> is to create an innovative control system for compressed air supply based on the use of artificial intelligence solutions - a neural network based on long short term memory (LSTM) cells - in combination with a modified IT infrastructure, including those related to cyber security.<\/p>

Project activities<\/b> include the purchase and implementation of dedicated servers for applications related to artificial intelligence techniques. The project envisages the analysis of technological data from the compressor plant system using machine learning and deep learning techniques. Expenditure under the project mainly includes the purchase of IT equipment together with software to provide the right infrastructure to meet the technical requirements of the artificial intelligence solutions to be implemented.<\/p>

Planned outcomes of the project<\/b> are:<\/p>

  • increasing the level of digitisation and automation<\/b> in the company through the introduction of a solution based on predictive models, enabling the precise prediction of demand for the supply of technical gases - compressed air and nitrogen - and the automation of their supply process; this solution will optimise the operation of the compressor system and will have a direct impact on the efficiency of the production processes of the Company's customers;<\/li>
  • increasing the level of cyber security<\/b> in the company allowing full control over the Company's IT infrastructure, which will indirectly minimise the risk of disruption to the technological data transmission process;<\/li>
  • improving energy efficiency <\/b>by guaranteeing the actual energy intensity of the supply of technical gases - compressed air and nitrogen - i.e. a guarantee not to exceed the agreed level of electricity (kW) when producing a unit of compressed air (m3).<\/li><\/ul>

    Thanks to the implementation of the project, the Company will strengthen its competitive position as a supplier of compressed air and, at the same time, may facilitate the reduction of production costs for its customers by improving energy efficiency. The implementation of the project will contribute to the support of enterprises in the industrial sector by improving the energy efficiency of technological processes (saving energy consumption), and the implementation of the solutions envisaged in the project and the benefits resulting from them should be a stimulus for the implementation of further innovations and modern technological solutions.<\/p>

    Target group of the project<\/b> are the Company's customers (current and future) ordering supplies of industrial gases - compressed air and nitrogen.<\/p>

    MARANI Sp. z o.o. carried out a project co-financed by the European Funds, entitled: \"Development of two cooling systems using waste heat with 600 kW and 200 kW of driving thermal power adapted to chilled water and high-temperature cooling\".<\/strong><\/p>

    The aim of the project was to<\/strong>\u00a0Development, construction and testing of an innovative technology for jet cooling systems driven by waste heat from industrial processes.<\/p>

    The planned outcome of the project was<\/strong>\u00a0the development of two prototype refrigeration systems with 600 kW and 200 kW thermal drive powers, with solutions developed to achieve both chilled water temperatures dedicated to standard air-conditioning or process cooling parameters, as well as to modern high-temperature air-conditioning systems.<\/p>

    The aim of the project was to<\/strong>\u00a0development of the design and construction of two prototype ORC microgeneration plants of up to 10 kW el and 30 kW el, using waste heat from industrial processes to generate electricity.<\/p>

    The planned outcome of the project was<\/strong>\u00a0development of a technology for the recovery of low- and medium-temperature waste heat from industrial processes through the use of ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) microgrids, resulting in the development of two prototype ORC microgrids with capacities of up to 10 kW and up to 30 kW using waste heat from industrial processes to generate electricity, based on Polish scientific and technological ideas, with a view to their commercialisation. The construction and testing of two ORC microgeneration plants is expected to result in a Polish solution for generating electricity from waste heat commonly found in technological processes, which will lead to a reduction in the energy intensity of production. The micro-generators that will be developed as part of the project will also be able to be used for the development of some RES (Renewable Energy Sources).<\/p>

    The aim of the project was to<\/strong>\u00a0the design and construction of a prototype ORC power plant with a power output ranging from 200 kW el to 300 kW el, using waste heat from industrial processes to generate electricity.<\/p>

    The planned outcome of the project was<\/strong>\u00a0development of a technology to recover waste heat from industrial processes through the use of an ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) power plant of medium power, resulting in the development of a prototype ORC power plant with a power ranging from 200 kW el to 300 kW el, using waste heat from industrial processes to generate electricity, based on Polish scientific and technical thought, in order to commercialise it. The ORC power plant is planned to be implemented in Poland and will also be an export product.
